Into The Void Entity Site (27 June 2026 Session Report)
Paul DMing; Scott: Smudge (shadar-kai rogue 9 / barbarian 2) and Martin (duergar cleric 11); Dane: Tudo Fleck (dwarf cleric 11)
Last time, the adventurers finished exploring the ice gnome cults and rode a wendigo-driven sleight 100 miles north to The Void Entity Site.
The party cautiously explores The Void Entity Site and learns:
- All surfaces inside the site appear to me made from a dull, lead-like metal. Sometimes, though, the material exhibits smoked glass-like translucency when strong light shines through it.
- The entire site appears to be cast or grown as one piece. The are no visible bolts or welds.
- The site seems to be one big interior space — an oblate spheroid (UFO-ish) nearly 475 feet wide and 120 feet high.
- There don't seem to be any closed rooms inside the site, just dozens of small platforms and catwalks suspended across three levels
- Three ladders running through the central ring platforms connect the ceiling, three levels, and floor.
- The wide, curved ceiling is chockablock with with half-cylinders, about twelve feet long and eighteen inches wide at their bases. A few are within reach of the ladders.
- Most of the dozens of platforms have one hatch in the center of the floor that doesn't appear to lead to anything. The platforms are about eight inches thick and the hatch on top doesn't seem to connect through to the platform's underside.
At various time during their exploraton, one member of the party or another felt an overwhelming complulsion to climb down into the writhing void at the bottom of the space. Fortunately, they all quickly snapped out of it, but decided that roping themselves together would be prudent.
Platforms
Our explorers quickly discovered that the cover of each hatch on each platform is engraved with a unique design.
Also, the circular rim of each hatch has a slowly pulsing light — what appears to be a warning indicator. When anyone touches the hatch, the light pulsing briefly quickens.

On the _bottom_ side of this platform is a portal to the Plane of Elemental Chaos. The hatch cover is embossed with tangled, orderless lines that twist and intersect without a pattern.
