Non-Player Characters

• Anaxagoras: Ootherion's nephew and leader of the rebel apemen faction (RIP)
• Bartus: underground mapper and dungeon archaeologist rescued from the dragon's lair under the island volcano. Died in a trap in the sewers benath Apemen City. The party carries his skull around. (RIP)
• Valhawk: a paladin Martin rescued from a mine on Pelican Island (see 13 October 2023 session). Valhawk says that Smudge's rapier is a holy avenger.
• Wilbarger: a sage and other things. A bit of a mysterious figure, who has helped the party from time to time.

Apemen City Factions (circa January 2025)

• Ootherion: King of the Ape Men
  • Garrion: Ootherion's castellan, gentleman's gentleman, and roustabout
  • Metrodorus: apeman; one of Ootherion's court philosophers
  • Pamphilus the Banker: apeman; nominally under Ooterion by loyalty very questionable; opposed to Klaitos?
  • Sukbeir the Slugman and his crabmen soldiers (about 1,000); Ootherion's grandfather knew Sukbeir's grandfather
  • Triturus the Irrigator: apeman, one of Ootherion's generals; possibly loyal but maybe not totally?
  • Xeno: apeman; one of Ootherion's court philosophers, the Stoic one
• Gimulsh the Devourer: a beholder, possibly lurking under the apemen city
• Palinurus: leader of force rebelling against Ootherion (took over after Anaxagoras died)
• Potash and Qaddas: mind flayer brothers
  • Klaitos: apeman; one of Ootherion's admirals, but believed to be conspiring with the mind flayers
  • Sea-serpent-men sailing H.G. Giger-like ships from the center of the planet; possibly aligned with mind flayers?

• Shaheduzzaman: narcissistic wizard and Bile Bowl VIP with a taste for gaudy jewelry and decore (RIP)
• Mr. Tumnus: chief of the satyr village sunken below Apemen City
• Uravulon Calcidius (a.k.a. "The Stargazer"): a cranky wizard who had been trapped in his own summoning circle for the better part of a century
